Osteoarthritis knee brace

2025-12-23

OsteoArthritis Knee Brace is a non-invasive therapeutic device that alleviates pain, improves joint function, and slows disease progression in osteoarthritis patients through external mechanical support, pressure relief, and joint stabilization. It is widely used for weight-bearing or frequently moving joints such as the knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle, with the knee brace being the most commonly applied in clinical practice.

Joint Decompression and Load Distribution
For osteoarthritis of load-bearing joints such as the knee, orthoses can alter the force distribution on the joint surfaces through mechanical design, reducing pressure on the diseased cartilage areas and preventing further cartilage wear, thereby alleviating pain and swelling.
For instance, in cases of unilateral compartmental joint disease in the knee, a unilateral decompression brace can transfer the body's load to the healthy joint compartment by providing lateral or medial support.
Joint Stability and Motion Restriction
Orthoses can restrict excessive abnormal movements such as hyperextension, inversion, or eversion of joints, maintain the normal alignment of joints, reduce the stimulation of joint cartilage and surrounding soft tissues by unstable factors, lower the risk of joint injuries, and enhance patients' confidence in their activities.

Instructions:
1.Should be used under the guidance of the physician.
2.Patient sitting in a chair with knee flexion 80 °to wear the brace.
3.Place knee brace in the lateral, align hinge with center of knee joint.
4.Fix the fixing strap in turn.
5.After putting on brace, bend knee and take a few steps to check the tightness of strap.
6.Adjust the angle of valgus or varus according to the requirement of doctors.
