Kangda Orthopedic splint

2026-03-24

Orthopedic splints are a new generation of medical external fixation materials that replace traditional plaster casts. They consist of fiberglass/polyester fabrics impregnated with high-molecular polyurethane resin, which rapidly solidifies and forms upon water activation, used for orthopedic external fixation support in cases such as fractures and joint injuries.

Features

Lightweight and Comfortable: Weighing only 1/5 to 1/3 of traditional plaster, it imposes minimal burden on patients.

Rapid curing: Begins solidifying within 3–5 minutes after immersion and reaches fixed strength in 20–30 minutes.

Excellent breath-ability: The porous structure reduces skin itching, allergies, and stuffiness.

X-ray transparency: Direct CT and X-ray examinations can be performed without removal.

High strength: Superior impact and bending resistance compared to gypsum, less prone to breakage.

Environmentally friendly and easy to remove: Can be effortlessly dismantled with a gypsum cutter, free from dust pollution.

Scope of Application

Emergency immobilization for limb fractures, joint sprains, and ligament injuries.

Orthopedic postoperative rehabilitation external fixation.

Orthopedic Temporary Fixation Support.
