Instructions for Use: Medical Orthopedic Polymer Bandage

I. Scope of Application
This product is suitable for external fixation and support in cases such as limb fractures, joint sprains, post-operative orthopedic care, and skeletal deformity correction. It is lightweight, breathable, and radiolucent (X-ray permeable), facilitating follow-up examinations of the healing process.
II. Application Steps
Preparation: Evenly wrap the affected area with cotton padding to protect bony prominences; the operator should wear protective gloves.
Water Activation: Immerse the bandage in water (25–30°C) for 2–3 seconds; squeeze repeatedly to expel air bubbles and gently remove excess water.
Wrapping and Fixation: Wrap the affected limb spirally, overlapping each layer by 1/2 to 2/3. Apply 3–4 layers for general areas and 5–6 layers for weight-bearing joints. Ensure the tension allows a finger to be inserted underneath to avoid compressing blood vessels.
Shaping and Curing: Complete shaping and molding within 3 minutes. The bandage begins to harden within 3–5 minutes and achieves full fixation strength in 10 minutes.
III. Precautions
After fixation, leave the fingers or toes exposed and monitor the skin color and temperature of the extremities daily; loosen the bandage immediately if numbness or skin blanching occurs. Do not bend or pull the bandage before it has cured. Keep the fixed area dry; do not expose it to water or soak it. Removal requires a medical cast saw; do not attempt to remove it forcibly by hand. Patients with broken skin, allergies, or severe swelling should use the product under medical guidance. This product is for single use only; use promptly after opening and store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place.
